Before you invest: a five-part checklist

A project deserves more than a quick brochure review. Save this checklist before your next site visit.

1. Define your objective

Personal use, rental income or long-term growth? Each objective needs different questions — and leads to different projects.

2. Understand the total cost

Ask for a complete written cost sheet, including every charge, tax and deposit.

3. Examine the location

Check current access, everyday services and actual demand — not just future plans.

4. Investigate the project

Review the delivery record, construction progress and the applicable project disclosures, including RERA registration where it applies.

5. Think about your exit

Who might rent or buy this property from you, and why? If you cannot answer that, pause.
